CASH PICKUP
If you purchased with cash, you can make payments with cash, Venmo or check. Please have that ready at time of pickup.
NUCLEUS PACKAGE PICKUP
If you also ordered a nucleus (nuc) colony, these will be ready by the first few weeks in May. It really is dependent on weather so we will inform all customers of the exact date when we have a better idea. You will receive a separate email with instructions. We can work out any conflicts with pickup if they arise.
HOLDING PACKAGES
If you are unable to make it to us on the scheduled pickup day, please let us know immediately. We will not hold packages beyond one day past the pickup day unless you contact us to re-schedule. All abandoned packages will be installed into a Woodland Bee Co hive.
We would prefer not to do this, so please inform us if you are unable to make it during the scheduled pickup times. We are very happy to help.
INSTALLING YOUR BEES
If you have not installed bees before, we have linked to our video of the procedure called a "shake method" that we have found to work well.

TRANSPORTING YOUR BEES
If you are arriving in a car, SUV or any other vehicle that requires you to transport them inside, don’t worry, it’s very easy to make it work. We do all we can to ensure that all bees are inside the package, but at times, there are some hitchhikers on the outside we miss. What we recommend is that you bring a large box to put the package(s) in. If that doesn’t work, a light beach towel can be used to place over the package while in transport.
If you are arriving in a pickup and plan to put them in back, we recommend that you place the packages up against the cab to reduce the amount of wind that gets to them. If you are traveling over 20 minutes to get home, or will be on the freeway, it’s a good idea to bring a container to put the package(s) in to reduce wind exposure.
THANK YOU
Once again, thank you so much for your interest in helping local bee populations and pollination!! We know in this time of elevated anxiety, these bees will give you a much needed mental break and add some wonderful enjoyment to your life.
